Americans’ definition of success is changing as is their
perception of the "important aspects" of their lives.
In a recent survey, Americans ranked signs of success. Eighty
percent of respondents said being "Satisfied with Life"
was the most important sign of success followed by being "In
Control of Life" with 76% of respondents (compare this
with only 63% and 57%, respectively, a decade ago). In a survey
conducted by the Gallup Organization, Americans said that
family and health were the most important aspects of their
lives while work ranked a distant third. Americans want to
invest their time in their families, improve their quality
of life, and spend less time working. |
